Brennan Meyerhoff

Undergraduate Research Assistant

I am a junior studying Geography with an emphasis on physical and environmental geographies. Complementing my major, I am pursuing a minor in Natural Resource Science and Management, alongside a certificate in Geographical Information Systems (GIS).

In addition to being an undergraduate research assistant, I have internships with both the Missouri Spatial Data Information Service (MSDIS) and Veterans United Home Loans. At MSDIS, I work with census data to develop creative GIS and cartographic projects for publication with the Missouri Census Data Center.

At Veterans United, where I have been for nearly two years, I’ve worked in IT on both the Hardware and Software Asset Management Teams. With Hardware Asset Management, I assisted in tracking and analyzing the company’s hardware assets, as well as leading an annual company-wide inventory. With my current role in Software Asset management, I coordinate the company’s ongoing software inventory and manage licensing, contracts, and our software database.

In the future, I hope to apply my passion for the outdoors and extensive knowledge of physical/environmental geography, GIS, and technology to the workforce.  I’d love to work in conservation, natural resources, the national/state park system, or anywhere with a commitment to sustainability and the natural environment.
